we come back from a weekend in lake geneva to find our convent's indoor temperature just above freezing...and a carbon monoxide alarm blarring through the house, and our landlord/priest did nothing for more than three days...though the alarm could be heard from his rectory...
yet my carbon monoxide poisoned, frozen self continues teaching the children...though not well...

I'm reading "The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe" aloud to my children...they love it...and they love Mimi too...
I have unapologically become horribly addicted to the most amaizng TV shows in the last 6 months: ER, Arrested Development, and The West Wing...more are welcome...
I have Parent/Teacher Conferences tomorrow...but before that, my children and I are watching Ice Cube's Family Classic "Are We There Yet?" The students will be looking for Cause and Effect relationships and theme.

| yesterday i watched the best and worst movies.
worst: pauly shore is dead. a movie about pauly shore faking his death so he becomes a legacy, the climax included him quoting lines from all of his movies to his number one fan so he wouldn't kill him in the jail kitchen. the worst part...i own the movie. i love owning bad movies, but this crosses the line...
best: brother bear. nothing can top a disney movie with canadian moose, men turning into bears, all set to the tune of phil collins.
magical indeed.
tomorrow i will be dressed as the pope for halloween at school...
